(Re)considering Environmental Education Through Concept Creation

Abstract

The theme of the Environmental Education (SIG) raises important philosophical questions such as whose knowledge and what actions need to be taken in (re) considering environmental education's response to the pressing problems of our time. In this paper I use a particular philosophical approach, concept creation by putting three concepts (Ubuntu, indigenous, potential) to work in new ways in response to global social inequalities and biophysical degradation.
