Students in online learning settings heavily relies on their ability to autonomously and actively engage in the learning process. Online students are required to be more independent, so the very nature of online settings promotes self-regulatory learning (SRL). This study, in the aim of understanding the effectiveness of students’ learning in the online learning processes, will examine the relationship among students’ SRL, their online learning interactions and their perceived learning outcome. This study uses the KHB method to analyze the direct and indirect effects of SRL on learning outcomes (interaction as mediator). The findings of this study will provide information for researchers and instructors to be in search for better ways to enhance students’ learning outcomes in online learning settings.
