Abstract

The purpose of this think-aloud study was to examine how middle-level bilingual students use their two languages as critical resources for their learning as they selected and comprehended multiple multilingual online sources. The findings indicated that the focal bilingual adolescents used various strategies to locate, access, and comprehend information in an online context. They also used translanguaging as their strategy not only to explore and navigate multilingual online sources, but also to facilitate their learning.
