Reporting on data from working closely faculty members, administration and students from several post-secondary institutions in Canada and the United States of America, this paper presentation invites attendees to critically engage with how rape culture is present and is presented in educational policies and across university campuses. Recently, high-profile reports have observed that while rape culture in broader society is mirrored within universities, few studies have focused on the influence of media and popular culture on university communities. We address these oversights through our team of renowned academic and community experts within the fields of: (a) law and policy; (b) arts and popular culture; and (c) news and social media.
