The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between teacher professional development and teacher self-efficacy in USA, England, Finland, and Korea. Using the data from TALIS 2013, we studied 8,788 teachers in 552 lower secondary schools in England, Finland, South Korea and the United States. We have found cross-culturally consistent results that there is a positive association between teacher professional development and self-efficacy in 1) classroom management 2) instruction and 3) student engagement in all four nations.
