This study identifies the engineering-related forms of capital, or assets, that Latina adolescents used to solve problems in their communities. Although previous research has identified general forms of community cultural wealth that Latinas/os possess, this study contributes to the literature by identifying engineering-specific assets possessed by Latina youth. An understanding of these assets is essential to the future development of culturally responsive engineering pedagogies for this underrepresented population.
