Abstract

This paper explores the use of emerging technologies, namely digital storytelling and podcasting, to encounter novel epistemologies with incarcerated students in Texas. The students learned how to create their own podcast, to engage in critical dialogues regarding pertinent topics, and to ultimately find a voice of identity, empowerment, and resistance.
