This qualitative research examines how students perceive principal leadership in primary and secondary schools in selected Caribbean islands and implications for the quality of students’ schooling experiences, achievement and general well-being. The research questions are: 1) What are students’ perspectives of their principal’s leadership practices? 2) How do students view their principal’s involvement in their achievements? Students in the study mostly linked principal leadership practices to the qualities they thought successful principals should possess and also noted that principals were involved mostly in their academic achievement.
