Leadership Preparation and Development: Comparative Perspectives

Fri, April 28, 2:15 to 3:45pm, Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, Floor: Ballroom Level, Room 301 C

Abstract

Contemporary evidence shows that the work of school principals is changing dramatically around the world (Pollock, et al 2015; Harris and Jones, 2015). As policy makers in different countries place more emphasis on principals as the drivers of change, the role of the principal is being radically re-shaped and re-defined. This objective of this paper is to examine and explore the changing nature of principal preparation and school principals’ work.
