Session Type: Symposium
2016 AERA Conference included into the activities of the ABER SIG the discussion of contributions of New Materialism to Arts Based Research. We consider this action as a movement to put Arts based Research in conversation with some of the current emergent ontologies and epistemologies (e.g., Post-qualitative Inquiry, Post-humanistic Ontology, New Materialisms, and New Empiricisms) as well as with more established frameworks. In this session we extend this interest by posing a set of post qualitative questions to engage presenters in a dialogue about Arts Based Research and frameworks informing their work.
