Session Type: Demonstration/Performance
Engaging with the work of court-involved young people in an alternative-to-detention program, this session works to engage with two methodological practices: multimodal play and visual anthropology to explore how young people participate in literacy practices. Exploring with the data collected from the community photograph walk and its participant produced artifacts, the session also explores with concepts around cosmopolitanism and participatory culture. This session also encourages audience to bring their own data to apply visual anthropology for analysis.
