This session brings new evidence to bear on bullying, teacher-student relationships, and middle and high school climate. Papers in this session use quantitative and qualitative approaches to highlight student and teacher factors that explain bullying and school climate and to show how bullying and teacher-student relationships are predictive of student achievement and mental health. A diversity of methods and analytic approaches are employed in this session, including latent-variable modeling, regression, and grounded theory.
