Abstract

Research is often imagined as occurring in a discursive silo wherein the researcher is distanced from the land, place, body, and practices of their theoretical world building. This panel considers the interventions possible in curriculum research when foregrounding the situatedness of researcher to thier embodied, emplaced, and historicized work. What innovations can be brought to curriculum research when the rigid boundaries between researcher and thier research topic, communities, land, and place are centered as complex, layered relationships to each other?
