Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
In this session, senior scholars will reflect on their personal histories and how those histories prompted them to engage in their research on understudied and often misunderstood communities. They will engage questions about how their connections to their past(s) and their communities enhance their access and interpretive capacity, how their personal connections created blinders in their research, and how their research has changed they way they understand themselves.
