Abstract
To understand the importance of how adults and young people negotiate relationships, the papers on this roundtable will explore the following; how social connections between adults and youth play an integral role in shaping the degree of confidence to pursue college or a future career, how relational teaching practices support students learning and well-being, how home the environment impacts student achievement outcomes of K-1st grade students, and the linguistic resources students and teachers use to negotiate relationships with one another.
