Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
As researchers do/think/plan/engage qualitative and post-qualitative inquiry, they often experience moments of “stuckness” when they are not sure how to proceed with their research. The purpose of this Qualitative Research SIG mentoring session is to help graduate students think through a moment or methodological issue that vexes, perplexes, haunts, paralyzes, excites, and/or intrigues them. The session format is modeled after the notion of speed dating and adapted from a pedagogical tool called speed theorizing (Vagle, 2012). Graduate students who applied and were selected to participate will meet briefly with 3-4 mentors who will think through the “stuckness” with them.
