Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
For 2016, two issues of the CCEAM journal International Studies of Educational Administration (ISEA) are devoted to papers exploring the changing nature of the work of school principals. This session consists of panel of authors from these special issues who: explore descriptions of what principals do from ten country contexts; consider the differences between contexts and how cross-cultural models, frameworks and analytical tools help us understand these differences; and, reflect on non-Western leadership approaches. The session is moderated by a panel chair who explores these areas over 60 minutes, with 30 minutes devoted to general questions from the audience. Session participants will be provided with access to digital versions of the two special issues.
