Four Fulbright scholars, teaching at universities located in Egypt, Georgia, Turkey and the United States, collaborated on a research to shed light on the preferred leadership frames (structural, human resources, political and symbolic) that affect women’s actions and behaviors once they reach top leadership positions. The human resource frame was identified as the primary preferred leadership frame followed by the structural frame. The women in academia believe in the importance of coaching, participation, motivation, teamwork, and good interpersonal relations.
