This study reports findings of 110 California superintendents’, assistant superintendents’, site principals’ (Coaches), 110 new administrators’ (Coachees), and 11 university Instructor Coaches’ views, about the identified effects a dual coaching model had on preparing California’s new administrators for school leadership, as they together engaged a two-year Administrator Induction program.
Lindsey, Martinez, and Lindsey, in Culturally Proficient Coaching: Supporting Educators to Create Equitable Schools (2007), examined how coaching can guide interactions across school systems. This study seeks to compare the findings of Lindsey, et al, to that of TK-12 Coaches’ and Coachees’ perceptions regarding National University’s dual coach Induction for Equity Model, and support received, while developing the skills of new administrators toward meeting the California Professional Standards for Educational Leaders.
