Examining the Dimensionality of School Counseling College-Going Culture: New or Old Construct

Abstract

The dimensionality of school counseling college going-culture construct has not been documented. Using HSLS:09, we found a second-order factor. Two factors are consistent with Engberg and Gilbert’s (2014) counseling norms. However, academic press emerged as a separate factor suggesting the need to adding it as another facet of college-going culture.
