Research on students’ views of what constitutes good teaching with ICT is scarce, especially in relation to K-12 schools. This study is based on a web-based questionnaire answered by 367 upper secondary school students about teachers using ICT in ways that facilitate teaching and learning, and teachers using ICT in ways that is not so good for this purpose. The analysis shows that the most prominent themes relate to teachers’ general pedagogical skills, sometimes in relation to ICT, such as ‘clarity’, ‘lack of clarity, ‘advances too quickly, ‘variation of teaching methods’ and ‘too little variation of teaching methods’. Students appreciate teachers who use ICT to make teaching and learning more effective, but have little confidence in those who do not.
