• In Event: Making Research Understandable and Actionable to Nonresearchers

Abstract

Parents are often the advocates for GTC children even if they have no formal training. This portion provides an example of: (A) how to communicate research results effectively, and (B) how to overcome misconceptions and misinformation. We present a series of one-page flyers that were developed using the general persuasion principles presented by Lewandowsky et al. (2012) and the Debunking Handbook (http://sks.to/debunk).
