• In Event: Making Research Understandable and Actionable to Nonresearchers

Abstract

Practitioners are more likely to have some training or preparation in the instructional needs of gifted students than parents. However, they still require translation of research findings into a format useful for them. This talk is based on the American Psychological Association publication: TOP 20 PRINCIPLES FROM PSYCHOLOGY FOR PREK–12 CREATIVE, TALENTED, AND GIFTED STUDENTS’ TEACHING AND LEARNING. The 20 principles are derived from psychology that teachers needed to master to be successful in the classroom with GTC students.
