Mon, April 16, 10:35am to 12:05pm, New York Hilton Midtown, Floor: Third Floor, Americas Hall 1-2 - Exhibit Hall

Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to examine higher education student preferences and satisfaction of instruction for various modes of course delivery. Instructors and students who had participated in courses using face-to-face (F2F), blended, and online deliveries were asked to complete an online survey. Results indicated that students were more satisfied with blended and F2F delivery when compared to online delivery and that instructors were significantly more satisfied with F2F delivery when compared to online delivery. The majority of students preferred blended delivery, and instructors ranked F2F delivery as their top choice. Both groups ranked online delivery as their least favorite of the three. Overall, blended course deliveries may be the DE of the future.
