School Leadership for Improving Parental Engagement

Abstract

This is a part of a larger study that inquires the ways in which PE can be improved in Turkish public schools. In this whole project, I researched two exemplary teachers who were recognized for successfully engaging the parents of their counseling classrooms. This particular piece, however, focuses on school administration and roles that school administrators played in improving PE in these cases. At end, I conclude with suggestions for school administrators who would want to create parent friendly schools and help their teachers promoting PE.
