Abstract

Turkey made a reform in 2005 to change its behaviorist educational system into a constructivist educational system. The changes in education system also affected the education of teachers, who are one of the most significant key roles in education. Their orientations could affect what they expect from students and how they assess them. Findings in this research has highlighted that changes in educational settings could influence teachers’ perceptions. Changes in their perceptions influence assessment methods, techniques and their expectations from students. 2x2 Achievement Goal Framework is a theory that focuses on personal choices of people about personal development in professional life or educational life. This theory is going to be used to observe and evaluate the attitudes teachers in Turkey.
