Scores from initial licensure candidates were used to compare 3 standardized assessments of content knowledge and 2 clinical experience performance assessments. Moderate correlations show the 3 content knowledge assessments were related but the two performance assessments had non-significant relationships with the content knowledge assessments and each other. The paper presents concerns about what the performance assessments are measuring and whether they are effective measures of candidate performance.
