Undergraduates typically enter college ill-prepared to manage their own finances; yet, college financing has become increasingly complex. In recognition of this reality, postsecondary institutions have increased the availability of financial education programming. However, scant research examines the efficacy of these efforts. Using data collected from over 13,000 undergraduates attending 34 institutions, we utilized an exploratory approach to identify the types of programming with the greatest potential to increase students’ financial knowledge. Implications for policy and practice are discussed.
