The objective of the study is to describe the design, development, and evaluation of an online example-based statistics module integrated with a set of self-efficacy features related to Bandura’s four sources of self-efficacy information. The module was designed with a goal to impact learning, task anxiety, self-efficacy, growth mindset and cognitive load. Quantitative evaluation data resulting from an experimental design indicate that the module is effective in enhancing learning and self-efficacy while reducing task anxiety. Participant attitude data and responses to open-ended questions provide additional insights into the design of the program. The presentation will highlight the key design elements of the program and discuss the evaluation results and implications for instructional designers and researchers.
