Education for Work and Formation for Freedom Practices: Research Based on Paulo Freire Studies

Abstract

The present paper contemplates the results of a qualitative and bibliographic research based on Paulo Freire’s contribution for the educational area, especially to understand the relationship between the education and work field, in Brazilian’s society. From the present study, it was possible to verify that the education Brazilian’s reality is permeated by barriers and contradictions emerged from the inequalities of the economic and social context, where the “link” between work and education is implemented by an alienating process. In this sense, it’s necessary to develop an education proposal committed with the society transformation and subject’s integral education, as Paulo Freire contributions point, showing effective possible to implement an educational proposal for freedom practices, as is analyzed here.
