This study focused on integrating a block-based programming language, Scratch, as a non-traditional way to teach mathematics. The goal was to understand mathematics teachers’ programming implementation in their classroom practices. This exploratory qualitative study examined two middle school mathematics teachers' Scratch implementation experiences through the lens of an agent of change (Ertmer & Ottenbreit-Leftwich, 2010). This study examined the teachers' purposes for implementing Scratch, some challenges they had, and the strategies they used to overcome them. Their positive impression on student engagement and motivation in mathematics learning through Scratch showed the potentials of implementing Scratch to enhance students to learn mathematics more meaningfully.
