Although there is a good deal of evidence that career and technical education (CTE) promotes high school completion, equips students with critical career skills, and contributes to state economic development, previous research has found that perceptions of CTE among the general public and teachers are limited (Dechert, Jordan, & Penner, 2012; Seymour, Mishra, Dechert, & Bowen, 2017). In part, poor and inadequate conceptions of CTE have been found to correlate with lack of knowledge about local CTE programs. This study investigates the relationship between the frequency of CTE posts on district Facebook pages, and educators’ perceptions of the quality of CTE in their school districts.
