College Sexual Violence in Context: Vulnerable Populations and Campus Climate

Abstract

Using the 2016 Diverse Learning Environments Survey, this study explores views of students who experienced campus sexual violence. Students who experienced sexual violence had higher measures of critical consciousness and social agency. LGBQ and transgender students report significantly higher rates of sexual violence compared to their heterosexual counterparts.
