This paper demonstrates how Muslim school leaders practice culturally relevant leadership to develop critical consciousness in their Muslim teachers and students. Through an approach of collective responsibility, they engaged members of the larger community. Students, like their school leaders, were empowered to make courageous pronouncements about global injustices while participating in activities that contributed to promoting pluralistic insight. Without fostering a culture of authentic dialogue, the tenets of liberatory consciousness, pluralistic insight, and reflective practice would not have formed the cornerstone to this community.
