The purpose of this study is to examine factors influencing teachers’ levels of digital citizenship. Teachers’ individual backgrounds (age, gender, years of work experience, years of teaching experience, subject, and teaching level), Internet use (where to obtain information, main purpose of using the Internet, and the use of SNSs for teaching) and psychological characteristics (Internet self-efficacy and Internet anxiety) were collected from 348 teachers in 14 States in the U.S. to explore the relationships among factors and their influence on teachers’ digital citizenship. The multiple regression analyses indicated that ‘years of work experience’, ‘the use of SNSs for teaching’ and ‘Internet self-efficacy’ variables significantly influenced teachers’ sense of digital citizenship.
