In the last decade, students with intellectual and developmental disability labels (IDD) have been afforded greater access to postsecondary education (PSE) spaces through a variety of inroads, thus challenging the dominant paradigm of what it means to be a college student. This paper presents initial findings from a qualitative study that asks: (1) How do students with intellectual and/or developmental disability (SWIDD) labels describe and represent their college experiences? (2) What does inquiring into the experiences of college SWIDD teach us about inclusive postsecondary education (IPSE)? And, (3) What does inquiring into the experiences of college SWIDD teach us about doing research with individuals with IDD labels?
