Abstract

Standards-based reform has dominated education policymaking for several decades. States, on average, have been implementing the newest college- and career-readiness (CCR) standards for the past seven years, of which CCSS is one but not the only example. This study identifies differences in teachers’ policy environments within states, across states and among different subject area teachers, and the relationships between policies and teachers’ instruction.
