The purpose of this study was to examine elementary teachers’ preparedness of using emerging technologies in the Fourth Industrial Revolution by applying the Importance and Performance Analysis. The online survey was distributed to in-service elementary teachers, and 186 completed responses were analyzed. Overall, the results showed that teachers recognized the importance of online learning, robotics, and VR/AR as future educational technologies but their current level of perceived performance was less than the perceived importance. Especially, compared to online learning, teachers seemed to be less prepared to use robotics and VR/AR by showing lower scores in both perceived importance and performance. The results of this study provide implications for professional development necessary for teachers to recognize the importance and utilize technology.
