This paper examines notions of “home” and place through the interplay of poetic inquiry and Bachelard’s The Poetics of Space. Further, we draw upon our own perceptions of “home” and place as a beginning site of theory (St. Pierre, 2008). We consider how expressions of “home” and place promote understandings of diverse lived experiences, and, therefore, can provide scholars and educators with new entries into educational possibilities.
