Abstract

This paper narrates how the use of critical reflection opens up a channel for both an international novice teacher educator and the pre-service teachers to examine their own experiences and socially constructed perspectives, and develop a critical understanding of themselves, and an awareness of education being a site for social justice, multicultural education, and culturally relevant pedagogy (Banks, 1997; Gay, 2001; Kincheloe, 2008).
