This exploratory study examined the social networks among K-3 reading improvement programs working with New York City public schools in 2016. This analysis used data from social network surveys and interviews completed by a subgroup of programs. We graphically represented the programs’ social network data to characterize connections amongst programs and explored what sources of funding and expertise the programs drew upon. We also explored school partnerships, looking particularly at the extent to which the programs worked with traditionally underserved students. We discuss the implications of the social networks amongst the programs and the extent to which those networks might serve as a foundation for the development of coordinated and collective impact on students’ reading in New York City.
