Assessing Multiple Mini Interviews: Practical Ways the Many-Facets Rasch Model Can Better Inform Pharmacy Admissions Processes

Sat, April 14, 4:05 to 5:35pm, The Parker, Floor: Third Floor, Azekka Room

Abstract

Higher education accreditors, particularly those close to medical education have recently turned their collective attention to the measurement of noncognitive attributes such as professionalism, collaboration, leadership, and integrity. In pharmaceutical education, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) released new standards as of 2016 that require program to measure and assess students’ noncognitive or affective skills in the curriculum, co-curriculum, and during the admissions process. This study is an empirical validation exercise on a locally developed multiple mini interview (MMI) instrument.
