With recent changes in education reform, legislation, and standards for practicing and aspiring school leaders, it is imperative to analyze whether or not university preparation programs are providing the most current and relevant practical experiences to best orient candidates into the role of administrator. Researchers have also identified that there is a dearth of research capturing the candidate's perspective. This research aims to address these issues by examining the concerns of current candidates enrolled in their final internship course of a preparation program. Findings from this research include self, task, and impact concerns of administrative interns, as well as areas that the preparation program heightened candidate's self-efficacy to become administrators, as well as areas for program improvement.
