Abstract

This literature review explores issues surrounding youth in foster care, and their experiences within multiple systems: education, health care, and child welfare. After framing a personal experience for the reader, current data builds a knowledge base for those new to the topic. This review provides not only a summary of data, but ideas to move forward and create the foundation of a scholarly approach that frames new questions.
