This study looks at what behavioral and academic factors matter in high school graduation for Hispanic students. This study looks at both Hispanic students when compared to Whites and comparing Hispanic subgroups with Mexican Americans as their respective omitted groups. The relationship between GPA and high school graduation is the strongest for both Hispanic students when compared with Whites and with the Hispanic subgroup models. This suggests that GPA may be a mediator to high school graduation despite other academic and behavioral factors taken into consideration.
