Latino Male Teachers: Providing Dreams and Possibilities in Urban School Spaces

Abstract

Using Critical Race Theory this paper will explore the philosophies of four Latino teachers regarding successful teaching in hopes of providing a valuable source of knowledge on the effective schooling. Our hope is to glean from the teaching perspectives and experiences narrated by these four exemplary educators more about the task of successfully educating children within a societal context constantly changing yet consistently hostile to all things coded Black and/or Brown.
