In this paper, we describe how teacher candidate’s digital stories created in a literacy methods course provided insight into their development as reflective practitioners. Qualitative analysis of the multimodal digital compositions, including images and voiceover, text, effects, and music, revealed sites of possibility within teacher candidates’ understandings that served as opportunities for us, as teacher educators, to promote and support their development as critically reflective practitioners. Teaching action steps taken based on the findings are described in detail.
