CUNY-NYCCT and ACT partnered to highlight our complementary expertise in surveying students. This paper had two aims: 1) to understand how best practices and innovations improve web survey student response rates at an institution of higher education and 2) to synthesize survey provider strategies that increase web response rates. These two topics combined are intended to provide a synthesis of best practices to improving students’ engagement with web surveys. Best practices and their impact on response rates are discussed, encouraging survey researchers to work in tandem to maximize the generalizability of the survey data.
