The purpose of our research was to review the method techniques of 212 Records of Study (ROS) from Texas A&M University over a 34-year period (1979- 2016). The Ed.D. Degree program at Texas A&M University was initiated in 1977 with the first Record of Study being documented in 1979. Document analysis has been employed to analyze the methods chosen by Ed.D students throughout the years. The majority of the ROS remain quantitative, but other method techniques are gaining momentum. The implications for public school leadership contexts and university Ed.D. preparation programs are discussed.
