Abstract

In this study, three instructional coaches explore the effects of the implementation of critical literacy and critical racial pedagogies within urban classrooms. The authors explore the growth in teachers’ beliefs and practices when provided with a simultaneously rigorous and authentic method for merging critical pedagogies with standardized curricula.
